Rais: Isu Blog Komunis Ke Kabinet

http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/105072

  1. Blogging had become an important new media which is not to be ignored. This is because many readers tend to believe the information they see online written by bloggers.

“[Blogs] provide access to a broader spectrum of issues than is available in the mainstream news media; cover those issues in greater depth, with more independence and points of view; and present them in a manner that’s more understandable and relevant to readers” (Haas, 2011, pg.12)

The huge influence of blog can be seen when the issue spread among blogs is brought to the meeting of the cabinet in the above article. This is because the issue is thought to be able to influence the mass and then cause chaos in the country.

  2. Blogging become common activity and popular especially in political aspect. Public may choose to trust or ignore what they read from blog. Definitely, blog also is a tool to dissemination information but it's a powerful weapon if government do not take it into consideration. As BorneoPost reported that, " blogging is a new tools, whether you win or lose the election today depende on it" (BN takes on opposition in cyberwar, 26 Mar 2011).
Hence, people may know that the effects of blogs are just huge and borderless.
